What To Do on Virgin Gorda

If you get to The Baths before the cruise ships disembark, you can almost have it to yourself. The giant boulders of The Baths are one of the most iconic symbols in all the British Virgin Islands. Be sure you bring your snorkeling gear so you can explore the glowing caverns and pools at your leisure.

Virgin Gorda is blessed with some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, often deserted. Take a taxi out to Savannah Bay, Spring Bay or Mahoe Bay for a day of fun at the beach. Be sure you bring a towel, your cooler and some sunscreen!

If hiking and nature are your passion, explore the rugged trails that crisscross the island. In the national parks at Gorda Peak, Devil’s Bay and North Sound, you’ll find indigenous plants – some which only grow here. Or just marvel at the exotic birds that soar over the hills and ocean at Little Fort National Park.

When hunger strikes there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, from the casual and homey to the elegant and sophisticated. If you have a particular ambience or culinary experience in mind, just ask one of the BVIslanders you meet along the way and they’ll be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant.
