Old Government House Museum is an ongoing project that seeks funds, furniture & artefacts to display the story of the Governors Residence. Built in 1880 & then again in 1926, the building was closed as a residence in 1996. It is now open to the public as a museum.

Saturdays - Open for pre-arranged tours

The Old Government House Museum is located in Road Town and can be accessed easily on foot or by a short taxi from anywhere in the Road Town area. You will see in the map below it is located just left and south of center.The walk from the cruise ship dock is approximately 1km and will take you along Waterfront Drive going West. Keep going past the Hospital (Peebles) and you will see the new Peebles being built in the background above it, continue past the Governor's Office.
Please park across the street and enter through iron gate by white picket fence and climb the steps, not the Governor's Office car park. Handicapped access available upon request.
