British Virgin Islands Tourist Board Appoints Deputy Director
The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board and Film Commission (the Board) has announced the appointment of Mr. Rhodni A. Skelton to the position of Deputy Director of Tourism.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, May 10, 2017 – The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board and Film Commission (the Board) has announced the appointment of Mr. Rhodni A. Skelton to the position of Deputy Director of Tourism. Mr. Skelton served as Film Commissioner and Events Marketing Manager from 2004 to 2015.

Director of Tourism, Mrs. Sharon Flax Brutus said that she is pleased to have the position of Deputy Director filled and looks forward to Mr. Skelton making a strong contribution given his background and experience.

Mr. Skelton holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Northwood University; an MBA in Human Resources Management and Finance from Wright State University and a Master of Science Degree in Tourism and Project Management from the University of the West Indies.

Mr. Skelton will be responsible for assisting the Director of Tourism with the responsibility of developing implementing and managing a series of tourism marketing initiatives including, the oversight of the development of the Board’s annual Marketing Plan; establishing and maintaining networks within the regional and international tourism industry as well as assisting in overseeing general operations.

Mr. Skelton’s appointment to the post of Deputy Director of Tourism is effective May 8, 2017.
