Recognizing the importance of passing on her knowledge, she embarked on a new path as a Home Economics educator at the public high school, for over two decades.

Shyril's dedication to preserving tradition goes beyond the classroom. With each brick carefully laid, she resurrects a piece of island heritage, reviving the tradition of the brick oven. This endeavor not only pays homage to the elders of her community but also ensures that these time-honored practices endure for generations to come. She truly embodies the essence of a Virgin Islander, bridging the past with the present through her culinary journey making sure locals never forget and new adventurers and foodies can leave with an experience that resonates to the soul.
